9-11 November 2009 in Moscow, research and practice conference “Combined ecosystem management in the Russia Arctic: problems and perspectives” took place, confined to finalizing the ECORA project by UNEP/GEF. The conference was joined by foreign experts from UNEP, GRID-Arendal, CAFF, the Northern Forum and Russian scientists, ecologists, representatives of authorities of the three model regions of the project: Chukotka, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and NAO. Representatives of the Batani Fund took an active part in the work of the conference and stood out with presentation “Legal problems of traditional knowledge application to protect entities of traditional nature use”.
